The banner above links to a brand new free website to help children practice their weekly spellings. They begin by typing their weekly words into the box on the home page and can then try several activities to reinforce their spelling. There is an feature allowing schools to add their own spelling lists to the site. Hopefully we will explore this and lists will appear on the site soon!! (UPDATE- Year 3 and Year 5 spelling lists added- type "Ian Shaw" from the "Find list" option)*
WARNING
The site is American and, as such, there are a number of words that the site won't recognise ("recognise" being one of those!) because the Americans spell them differently. An error box will pop up when you try and start a test or game. I have been in touch with the website creators and am assured that they are in the process of adding an English dictionary.
